Sat PM - update

Praise GOD! The girls did great with their medical appointments this am. They were both such troopers. We made it back to the hotel room and took much needed naps.

We enjoyed having dinner and sharing time with a dear friend. Terry is a special part of our Jacob & Bethany Joy adoptions. He now has a special part in both Mercy's adoption & Zoey's adoption stories.

It was priceless to see Mercy's face as Terry began to speak in Mandarin. He is a dear friend from the US and lives here in the Guangzhou area. What a blessing & encouragement to all of us. Mercy & Zoey loved sharing their photos, toys and stories.

It was just what our hearts needed tonight. Thanking GOD for a great time of fellowship.

We finished the evening with a Facetime call back home. This was the first time Zoey really engaged with the kids at home. She was shouting ni hao to Bethany. She used their names and giggled. She tried to speak to them in Mandarin. Mercy was laughing and enjoying the show, too. It was really touching to see Bethany try to talk back with them. What fun we will all have together!

Praying for clear medical reports. Consulate appointment is Tuesday morning. We will leave GZ about 3 am on Thursday for 8 am flight from Hong Kong. We will have about 30 hrs of travel to get home. We are so grateful for your continued prayers.

With joy,
Art, Jen, Mercy & Zoey
