Trip Schedule - China 2013

Hello Dear Friends & Prayer Warriors! Thanks for checking in on the Powell family. We are getting ready to travel in the early morning hours- Friday. We thought we would post a bit of our itinerary to help you pray and follow along. We appreciate your continued prayers for each of our children- those in China and those in the US! :) Pray for this Daddy & Mama, too!

There are so many areas of prayer. We listed a couple of critical things in blue below. Thank you for standing with our family. We are praying God would be glorified as we interact with folks and make this trip.

Schedule

8/9 Friday- fly Delta 5:45 am  (praying we make all of our flights without glitches)
8/10 Sat afternoon- arrive in Shanghai (pray we quickly recover from jetlag)
8/11 Sun am- take train to Jinan- Shandong Province
8/11 Sun afternoon- receive Mercy into our family!! (praying for connection, attachment, love and for the Lord to bridge the language barriers)
8/12 Mon - Civil Affairs office- paperwork day
8/13 Tues- Civil Affairs office- paperwork day
8/14 Wed - Sight-seeing in Jinan (waiting for paperwork) (praying for sweet memories as Mercy has her Baba and Mama all to herself for a few days)
8/15 Thurs- Sight-seeing in Jinan (waiting for paperwork)
8/16 Fri- Travel by bus (about 6 hrs) from Jinan to Yantai (location of Mercy's school/orphanage)
8/17 Sat - Sight-seeing in Yantai
8/18 Sun - Sight-seeing in Yantai
8/19 Mon AM- Travel by plane- Yantai to Chungsha, Hunan Province (Mercy's first airplane trip)
8/19 Mon afternoon- receive Zoey into our family!! (praying for connection, attachment, love and for the Lord to bridge the language barriers and visual impairment, praying she would allow us to touch & comfort her)
8/20 Tues- Civil Affairs office- paperwork
8/21 Wed- Civil Affairs office- paperwork
8/22 Thurs- Sight-seeing in Chungsha (waiting for paperwork)  ** Mercy's b-day ***
8/23 Fri evening-  Travel by plane Changsha to Guangzhou (Zoey's first airplane trip)
8/24 Sat - medical exam & visas for both girls (pray for them both to accept our comfort during exams, shots, etc)
8/25 Sun- sight-seeing in Guangzhou (waiting for paperwork) (praying we would build memories, connections)
8/26 Mon- back to medical exams for follow up (pray for clear TB tests) -lots of final paperwork
8/27 Tues- 8:30 am: US Consulate appointment- visa interview, oath ceremony
8/28 Wed afternoon- gather US entry visas for children/ final paperwork
8/29 Thurs- early AM van to Hong Kong- 8:10 am flight home (pray for no flight glitches - and details in more than 30 hrs of travel with girls)
8/29 Thurs 5:24 pm - Delta flight into Little Rock (eager to have our whole family in one spot again!)
